Description : First generation 289 HiPo Mustangs and Shelby GT350s were too powerful for the standard V8 Mustang motor mounts so they were equipped by the factory with a robust motor mount design that could handle the extra load. Each concours kit includes cast frame mounts with correct part numbers cast in, heavy-duty upper and intermediate mount brackets, vulcanized rubber mounts / isolators and premium quality hardware. All brackets are finished in a natural metal grey paint for corrosion protection. The architecture of these motor mounts is significantly stronger than standard V8 Mustang mounts and offers superior resistance to engine "lift" under hard acceleration. The through-bolt design eliminates the risk of tearing or ripping the rubber isolator.
