Edelbrock Max-Fire Ford 289-302 steel distributor gears are designed specifically for use on Max-Fire distributors—in Ford small block 289-302 engines running a hydraulic roller camshaft with a billet steel core. These drive gears are designed specifically for small block Ford Max-Fire distributors with 0.467 in. diameter shaft and 0.250 in. hex oil pump drive. The gears are an optional replacement part for the iron gears (identified by an orange paint dot) that come pre-installed on the distributors. These new steel gears feature a white paint dot for easy identification.
