Description

The rear deck lid of every 1967 and 1968 Mercury Cougar has one of these emblems.
The exhaust fumes must have been pretty corrosive as most of them are now badly pitted. This emblem is a little larger than the one on the front fender extension and mounts with smaller studs. The old emblem comes off by prying (careful of the paint!) straight up. Pull the old one off, push the new one back into the same mounts and you are done. This is a fast and easy improvement you can do in just a few minutes.
